The company sold their phone by flash sale and they make new records of selling like 90000 or 1 lac pieces in just around 3 to 4 second.And it wasn't like the company was clearing up old stock - it would've sold fivefold judging by the number of registrations. Yes, the Redmi 1S is a very good offer at RS.5999/-(approx $100) price in that Indian flash sale made it nearly impossible to resist.

DESIGN
The Redmi's design feels pretty standard, it's your usual rectangular smartphone with slightly curved corners. With no sharp edges, though, the phone doesn't dig into your palm. The 4.7-inch IPS display with a 1,280x720 resolution, which means you won't have to worry about fuzzy fonts when browsing the Web.
The handset feels solid despite being made of plastic -- there's a comfortable heft in its 158g weight. The overall build quality feels very good.But sometimes it feels that its slipping of your hand.
The power and volume buttons are found on the right, and are easily reachable when holding the smartphone with one hand. Speakers are located at the back. And the camera is located at the center top of the phone.It has a removable back cover.

Redmi 1S comes with xiaomi's own skin called MIUI. Its very customisable, easy it use, and simple.It has a theme engine which have thousands of themes.MIUI weekly get updates as per reviews of users and improvement suggested.
Xiaomi confirms that redmi 1s will get Android 4.4 kitkat and also MIUIv6 by the end of 2014 or early 2015.
CAMERA
The camera of redmi 1s is one of the best in these price tag, it may also leave behind some phone around price tag of RS.15000(approx $245). With 8MP shooter the color reproduction of camera is very true to life, means it create the very same color of the surrounding. The photos are not over saturated.The clearity of the camera is very good , it may not show pixels on photos until you zoom the photo to the extreme.
